💡 How do our homes contribute to our pets aging?
Our homes quietly shape how our pets age. Stairs and slippery floors place daily stress on aging joints and spines, accelerating arthritis and increasing the risk of devastating falls or disc injuries. Simple changes, like non-slip runners or ramps, and supportive bedding, can dramatically reduce pain, and help your pet stay mobile, confident and independent for longer.

Strong Legs, Sharp Minds: Latest Research Study

Friends, we need to talk about Leg Day.
I know, I know. It’s the workout we all love to hate.
Walking down the stairs afterward feels like a baby giraffe learning to walk, and the toilet seat becomes a sworn enemy. But a fascinating study from the Journal of Lifestyle Medicine just dropped, and it might make you love those lunges.
Let’s look at the numbers:
Sample Size: 1,508 U.S. adults aged 60 to 85.
Findings: Higher lower-extremity strength was significantly associated with higher executive functioning.
Data points: Individuals with elevated strength levels had a Odds Ratio (OR) of 0.66 for low cognitive function. In plain English: being strong cut the risk of "brain fog" by roughly one-third (34%).
This link remained strong even when controlling for variables like muscle-strengthening frequency and aerobic activity.
Muscle mass acts as a metabolic reserve. It improves blood perfusion to the brain and may help regulate the biological mechanisms that typically decay with age.
Stronger legs = Stronger brains.
So, by doing deadlifts will you be as sharp as a physicist?
No.
But that wobbly feeling in your legs after leg day might be the brain-builder you need for longevity.

The Higest ROI For Your Mood
We all want to feel better, but most of us are just guessing at how to get there.
The folks at Bearmore just analyzed over 3,100 sessions to find out what actually is helping people feel better.
The results are in, and the most efficient way to hack your mood is also the most miserable: Cold Exposure.
Short blasts of cold (1–4 minutes) delivered the highest "mood-per-minute" return of any activity.
If you prefer not to freeze, the data suggests aiming for the "Goldilocks Zone" of 10–19 minutes for almost any other habit (meditation, reading, etc.). Breathwork and Gratitude emerged as the most reliable non-freezing backups.

How many times have you heard your favorite longevity-guru talk about sleep?
Probably every day.
Not only is it free (love a good recession-proof hack), it’s the most critical lever we have at restoring our cells and internal systems, most of which happens during deep sleep or REM sleep.
For all you hackers, here’s a drug that delivered surprising results, and might be used in the future for more than just seizures.
