This is One For The Ages, our series giving you a front-row seat to the leaders redefining what it means to live longer + healthier.
This week, we sat down with Bearmore founder Aulay Macaulay to talk about what makes this app different, why trust is the true longevity unlock, and what’s next for his team.

Haven’t heard of Bearmore yet?
Let’s get you up to speed.
Bearmore is a guided longevity platform designed to help you live well today (not just the future you). It offers a curated library of over 40 science-backed practices across movement, mindfulness, recovery, and behavior change, all paired with beautifully crafted guides and personalized recommendations.
The app helps users identify which practices actually move the needle for them, based on their goals, lifestyle, and feedback. You know those apps that promise to change your life, make you glow, and transform you into the fittest version of yourself…
…and then quietly vanish from your home screen two weeks later?
Bearmore is working to be the opposite.
We found it to be the most grounded, anti-hype tool in the entire longevity space. It’s science-backed but soul-aware. Personalized without being pushy. And built for real people with real lives (not just biohackers with a cryochamber in their garage).
“Our ideal users are health-savvy but time-poor,” Aulay shared, when asked about who the app is suited for.
“They’ve tried the apps. Bought the gear. Followed the routines. But too many false starts means they’re still not feeling how they want to.”

From Burnout to Breakthrough
For most people new to the longevity space, the journey is personal.
It didn’t surprise us to hear that Aulay’s pathway began with observing his friends and family age:
“If you’re a half-decent friend, sibling, or just someone paying attention, you notice it,” Aulay told us. “People are struggling. Losing their edge. Trying to feel better and getting overwhelmed instead.”
“For me, that raised a simple question: what if I could build something that actually helped? Something that gets people to stop watching from the sidelines and start trying the things they know about. Not just talking about it, actually doing it.”
He’s right.
Scroll any health forum or TikTok thread and you’ll see it.
Endless supplements, productivity hacks, or sauna-sprint-fasting cycles.
All promising better health, more energy, and a longer life.
And yet? We’re more burnt out than ever.
In a space dominated by blood tests, peptides, and cold plunges, Bearmore is pushing for something deeper.
We asked Aulay on what trends are being overlooked right now.
“Most tools in the longevity space track behaviour, but they don’t help sustain or give meaning to it.
We don’t need more biomarkers, we need better design, better guidance, and better support systems that help people follow through. The overlooked trend? Living well today.”
Inside The App
As an early beta tester, we were excited to see a curated onboarding experience that felt truly personalized. In a previous life I had pursued music as a profession, sparking my curiousity for the module about creating music.
The activity began with a simple questionnaire that mapped my current mood and energy.
From there I jumped into “Understanding Chord Basics”, a self-paced 10-min experience in learning the fundamentals of musical chord progressions.

In-app experience of the “creating music” module.
I found myself focused for the duration of the session.
Or as the kids say these days…“locked in”.
In a world full of distractions, that’s a genuine success.
After the session, I logged my experience, and was rewarded with what Bearmore calls “Gains”; your way of tracking the small wins that stack up over time.
The gamified experience had me hooked.
I was onto my next activity.

On Achieving Milestones
Building a team and launching a new app is no easy feat.
Neither is attracting a wave of users.
But we wanted to know what milestone Aulay is most proud of today.
“Yesterday, one of our users messaged us after having got started a couple of weeks ago to say:
“I am already loving this app immensely! Thank you for creating it! It is already helping me be a better caretaker of myself and my own needs, which is something that I struggle with.”
I could not wish for a better result! That has to be up there as one of the most important milestones so far.”
In an industry often obsessed with optimization and performance, this type of milestone sits in a rare space: one grounded in humanity.
The Road Ahead
We wanted to know what’s next for Bearmore.
The roadmap is ambitious, but refreshingly focused on real life.
“Optimally stacked activity bursts, advanced analytics, and smart integrations are just the start” Aulay shared.
“I’m curious to explore the partnerships and formats that could bring this work offline and into communities. Whether that’s in coaching, events, gyms, or unexpected collaborations.”
If you’re tired of the noise and ready to actually build sustainable longevity habits that fit into real life, Bearmore might be the one app you don’t delete.
