FDA Says “OK” To Anti-Aging Laser Mask For The First Time

For years, red-light therapy has meant strapping on an oversized LED visor and hoping for the best.
Not a lot of research backing the devices or company claims.
Not a lot of research validating the safety of these devices.
Just a whole lot of hope.
But it looks like times-are-a-changin’!
JOVS has successfully secured FDA clearance for its Laser Therapy Mask, a distinction that may redefine the category.
The primary distinction of the JOVS mask is the shift from LED diodes to medical-grade lasers. Utilizing patented FPT™ technology, the device is engineered to deliver light energy deeper into the dermis. This subsurface penetration allows the mask to target the root causes of aging, including pronounced wrinkles, sagging, and dullness, where surface-level LED light is typically ineffective.
It’s hands-free, it’s safe (hello, FDA clearance), and it uses four different wavelengths to target specific issues.
You’ve probably found yourself scrolling through Amazon, stuck in a flood of cheap knock-off devices, with limited testing, and questionable reviews, not knowing what to do.
If that’s you, an FDA-cleared device might be worth a look.

Can A Daily Pill Re-Set Your Clock?

We’re all looking for the "easy button" when it comes to healthy aging.
Sure, whole foods and exercise are key, but the dream of a pill that simplifies the process is universal. Well here’s a system that claims to do just that; turn back your biological clock by over five years.
That’s quite the claim.
The company, SRW Laboratories, has developed the Cel System, a multi-capsule regimen designed to optimize several aging pathways at once, from DNA health to mitochondrial energy. Their latest study where participants underwent epigenetic clock testing, showed a 5.7-year reversal in biological age for some participants, and has understandably created a stir.
So what’s the science actually say, and what's the catch?
Let’s break down the trial itself:
Participants: 50 healthy, older adults, with an average age of 65.
Duration: 12-month study
Key Results:
Biological Age Reduction: Participants saw a measurable reduction in their biological age, with the strongest result showing a 5.71-year reversal measured by an epigenetic clock. Participants also reported improvements in muscle strength, better body composition (more lean mass), and stronger immune markers.
But there’s a caveat…
The study was a single-arm trial, meaning there was no placebo group receiving a sugar pill for comparison. All participants also incorporated daily light exercise and mindfulness, making it impossible to know exactly how much credit goes to the supplements versus the new healthy habit.
So, what should we take away?
While the lack of a placebo group means we can’t stamp these pills as the definitive answer, the trial strongly confirms one crucial point: older adults can significantly impact their biological age in just one year.
Whether the major driver was the supplements, the newfound exercise, or the focused mindfulness, the needle moved in the right direction.
A powerful reminder that while we wait for the perfect longevity pill, simple changes can reverse years of time spent sinking into your couch and doomscrolling.
