Good morning. It's June 20.
An AI image generation company just unveiled a full-body medical scanner that makes MRI look like a fax machine. This is a big deal.
No radiation. No magnets. No hospital. Just sound waves, a pool of water, and 60 seconds.
Let's talk about it.
The rundown for this week:
💰 Uncle Sam became a longevity investor. Here's why that matters for the whole industry.
⚽ Ronaldo is 41. Messi at 38 is at his sixth World Cup too. Why are World Cup soccer players getting so old now?
🍎 Apple added perimenopause tracking to the Health app. Finally.
🗻 $300 off on a Mountain Longevity Retreat with like-minded people, a personalized plan and fresh mountain air.
Let's get to it. 👇

Apple drops perimenopause tracking in the Health app - women can now log and monitor hormonal symptoms across the transition, adding real clinical context to existing cycle data. Small step. Long overdue. Wellworthy
The damage you took in your youth may be waiting to surface as disease - UCL researchers propose a two-stage model: early-life cellular damage lies dormant, then aging strips away the body's ability to hold it in check. That's when disease hits. SciTechDaily
A brain-protecting peptide could change how we treat Parkinson's - scientists found a compound that shields the dopamine-producing neurons Parkinson's destroys. It targets the cell death itself, not just the symptoms. SciTechDaily
15 minutes of exercise visibly improves your skin - ASICS ran the study. Challenged the skincare industry on its own turf and won. Movement alone delivers measurable improvements to skin appearance. Wellworthy
Annovis Bio's Alzheimer's pill hits amyloid, tau, and alpha-synuclein in one shot - most drugs chase one target. Buntanetap shuts off the factory that produces all three toxic proteins at once. Longevity.Technology

FROM THE CLINIC
Midjourney Launches Spa That Scans Your Entire Body In 60 Seconds
Midjourney - the AI image generation company - just announced something that has nothing to do with digital art.
Senior doctors call it the biggest leap in medical imaging in a generation. Elon Musk's response on X was ‘‘Cool’’.
Here's what they built.
You walk into a spa. You step into a shallow pool of warm water. A platform lowers you gently - about 2 inches per second - through a ring of roughly hundreds of thousands of sensors, each about the size of a grain of sand. Every sensor doubles as a transmitter and a receiver.
A 100 million times a second they fire ultrasonic pulses - sound waves your ears can't detect, similar to how dolphins echo-locate - through your body from every angle at once. As those waves pass through skin, fat, muscle, and bone, they shift. A cluster of thousands of computers reads those shifts and reconstructs a detailed 3D map of your interior.
The whole process takes 60 seconds. Then you step out and carry on with your spa day. Gone will be the days of going into that claustrophobic, noisy MRI tunnel.
The numbers:
~500,000 sensors working simultaneously
Terabytes of acoustic data generated per second - Midjourney compares it to 500 hours of HD footage for every second of scan
3D body reconstruction to sub-millimeter precision
Speed: nearly 100x faster than conventional MRI
Zero ionizing radiation - no X-rays, no magnets, just sound waves and water
The technology is called Ultrasonic CT. Until now, the computational load was simply too large. Processing that volume of acoustic data in real time required hardware and software that only recently became feasible.
Who built it:
David Holz is a physicist who bootstrapped Midjourney into a $500M/year business with only 50-100 employees, without taking a cent of outside investment. This ground-breaking medical scanner is where he really shines as the physicist he originally is.
What it looks like in practice:
The first Midjourney Spa opens in San Francisco in 2027 - a full-scale wellness space with hot tubs, saunas, cold plunges, and a fleet of scanners running continuously. The scan happens as a side effect of a visit you'd want to make anyway. Midjourney's roadmap targets 50,000+ scanners globally by 2031 and a monthly scanning capacity of 1 billion people.
The imaging pipeline today produces detailed body composition maps. Diagnostic capabilities get submitted to the FDA progressively from there. The core technology runs on physics first. AI is the next layer, not the foundation.

Uncle Sam Just Became a Longevity Investor 💰
Venture capital built the longevity industry. But a new money source just entered the room: the U.S. government.
ARPA-H - the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health - launched a program called PROSPR specifically to fund drugs that keep people physically and metabolically resilient as they age. Not drugs that treat disease after it strikes. Drugs that stop the decline before it starts.
Here's why Uncle Sam's money matters for the longevity scene:
It's free money. Companies take ARPA-H grants without giving up equity. That extends runway without expensive VC rounds.
It signals legitimacy. When the U.S. government writes a longevity check, institutional investors pay attention.
It lowers risk for later-stage investors. Publicly funded early trials mean private capital can come in with more evidence and less downside.
It accelerates everything. PROSPR is designed to move fast. That compresses timelines that would otherwise take years.
The broader signal: Washington has decided that keeping an aging population functional is a national priority. That changes the investment landscape permanently. Keep watching who else gets a PROSPR check.

Competing On Longevity - The World Cup Players Are Older Than Ever ⚽
Ronaldo is 41. Messi is 38. Both are in their 6th World Cup.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is shaping up to be the best argument for applied longevity science that sports has ever put on a field. FIFA itself admits this tournament is all about longevity now.
A growing roster of veterans - Neymar, Modric, De Bruyne, Neuer, Lukaku - are competing at levels that would have been unthinkable for players their age a decade ago. The reason isn't genetics or luck. It's science and wellness.
Paraguay's fitness director put it simply: elite football used to run on habit and gut feeling. The last 15 years changed that completely. Clubs now measure everything - training load, recovery, stress, output - and build programs around the individual, not a generic template.
Messi himself reportedly trains with a personal fitness coach right after Inter Miami sessions just to arrive at the tournament in optimal condition. Cristiano Ronaldo is famous for his disciplined wellness protocols.
The nutrition revolution is equally significant. Calorie targets, protein timing, carbohydrate intake tied to specific session types - all planned to the gram. The point: if a soccer match depletes more muscle glycogen (the stored fuel muscles run on during intense exercise), the recovery meal changes to match.
The broader takeaway for: what elite footballers do isn't that different from what this newsletter covers every week. Personalized training loads. Precision nutrition. Recovery data. Biohacking wearables. At-home wellness gear. The difference is they have world-class support teams executing it. But the gap with consumers is closing, fast.
His Father Got Parkinson's. He Built Robots Instead.
Clint Brauer grew up on his family's Kansas farm. His dad sprayed the same chemicals every American farmer sprays. Years later: Parkinson's. Clint walked away from a tech career to build a different way. Today his company, Greenfield Robotics, runs a patented fleet of autonomous bots that slice weeds with centimeter precision, day or night, herbicide-free.
Greenfield is now opening shares to everyday investors under Reg A+. Reserve during Test the Waters and you lock in a 5% bonus that can grow to 20% the week the round goes live. The US has 250 million acres at stake.
Greenfield Robotics is Testing The Waters under tier 2 of Regulation A. No money or other consideration is being solicited, and if sent in response will not be accepted. No offer to buy the securities can be accepted and no part of the purchase price can be received until the offering statement filed by the company with the SEC has been qualified by the SEC. Any such offer may be withdrawn or revoked, without obligation or commitment of any kind, at any time before notice of acceptance given after the date of qualification. An indication of interest involves no obligation or commitment of any kind. “Reserving” shares is simply an indication of interest. There is no binding commitment for investors that reserve shares in this manner to ultimately invest and purchase the shares reserved of the company, or to purchase any shares of the company whatsoever.

Age Later: Health Span, Life Span, and the New Science of Longevity
Nir Barzilai, M.D.
Barzilai is a geriatrician at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He runs the LonGenity study - decades of research into people who live past 100. No supplements to sell. No bold claims. Just one of the most respected scientists in geroscience writing about what centenarian genetics actually show. Clean as it gets.
For readers who want the science behind exceptional aging - not lifestyle hacks - this is the book. Barzilai's argument is that the best longevity secrets come from studying the people who are already doing it: the centenarians. What are their genes doing differently? What does that mean for the rest of us?
